It is a side-effect of the member-only posting restriction that helps
keep this list spam-free.  It can be avoided when unsubscribed posters
subscribe and re-post.  For those posting from an address that they don't
wish to receive list mail at, subscribe the address, and enable the "no
mail" setting for that subscription.
