It seems like the original poster should probably be using two seperate
X servers, one for each head.  Is it possible to have both heads active
at once?  If so, that seems like it would be ideal - no need to invent
the notion of multiple pointers, but you'd still be able to devote a
complete touchscreen to seperate applications.

Think about an art program that allows the user to "fingerpaint".  The
ability to track multiple pointers would be a huge advantage.
