Double characters with Toshiba Satellite Pro?

If I type too fast (which is not that fast) with my Toshiba Satellite Pro, I 
get double characters.  This is happening with a RH 8.0 install (XFree 
4.2.0).  Incidentally this happened under RH 7.3 too, though I don't know 
what XFree that is.

Any ideas?  I've tried loading the nVidia driver (this has a GEForcee 4), as 
well as disabling things like glx, etc in the Load section... I don't know 
what other hardware specs are useful to you...

An example of a sentence I type quickly: "Wwhhen will  thiiss get resolved?"
