Problem with ATI Radeon 7000

Hello,

since I have not found an archive of this list, I do not know, if there
is already a solution for the following problem:

There seems to be a problem with the acellerated rendering of filled
circles and ellipses using a radeon 7000 based graphics card, they turn out
black independend of the color chosen. There is a simple test to check this:

   Try to draw a filled circle using xfig. Very small ones turn out OK, but
   larger ones become all black. This does not happen using other graphics
   cards, so I think it is a fault of the driver for the radeon chipset.

I am using XFree 4.2.0.
