Oh that sounds very good. Ctrl-Alt-Backspace is such a nuisance because I keep hitting that in Emacs. To me it's the natural "delete expression backwards". So I had to turn it off for X. Only problem is, I'm still with xmodmap, since I couldn't make head or tail of XKB. Could you send me a config file, where all Ctrl-Alt-specials are replaced by Hyper-specials (Ctrl-Hyper for the function keys)? Plus maybe a little link or instruction on where to get started with this? Thank you very much in advance! Btw. what version of XFree86 is needed? coralament / best Grötens / liebe GrüÃe / best regards / elkorajn salutojn Daniel Pfeiffer -- GPL 3: Kill Palladium! -- ------ -- My other stuff here too: -- ------ -- http://dapfy.bei.t-online.de/ --
