cursor of whiteglass theme looks bad

I reported this against the Red Hat rawhide version of XFree86, but Mike Harris asked me to report it here instead. The arrow cursor of the whiteglass theme looks odd. It appears that its shadow has a border in the part that would be behind the foreground of the cursor, creating an odd vertical line that splits the head of the arrow in two.
