hi folks! this is my first post here! i installed redhat 8.1 beta phoebe on my nvidia nforce based system. the graphics kernel & the GLX drivers compile fine from the sources. but when i start X it crashes logging something like, Loading GLX.... "Caught signal 11" aborting... i read about this error in quite a few posts in linux forums from people have different distributions too. is there any fix for this? people say, if i disable "load glx" option in the XF86Config file then the X starts fine but GL is something very important to have and without it X would be more handicapped. so if there any ways of fixing this please let me know. any insights on this issue are also welcome as it would be a learning experience for me :-) thanks, venkat. _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 helps eliminate e-mail viruses.
