-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, we have laptops (Compaq Armada M500), and we want two different displays: either the internal LCD : 1024x768 OR plug the laptop in a dock, and use an external mouse, keybord AND LCD monitor 1280x1024 (also a compaq model). I can't install RH8.0 so that both display can work without some manual XF86Config modifications. Is there a standard mechanism to handle such configurations ? For example, calling xf86config at boot time or when X is started ? /etc/X11 seems to have some premilary infrastructure to handle several modlines, but nothing functionnal. Any help ? Please reply directly to [email protected] , since i'm not subscribed to this list . N.
