Ugly Truetype Fonts in XFree86 4.4.0

Hi all,

I have some problems with the new truetype font display driver in 4.4.0
The Truetype fonts come out much uglier than with 4.3.0.
I don't mean output with the new font model (xft/freetype/antialias 
etc), that's ok, but output with the classic X Windows font model.
The truetype fonts that I use under Linux are those from MS windows.
See attached two screenshots from the Arial font.
When you enlarge the pics you see that the pixels are set very 
differently by the two systems.
Is there any new configuration option that I missed to get the old 
better look back or is this just a plain new bug?
