Not that everyone would read it though. None of our lists are subscriber only. All lists can be posted to by whomever. I think honestly that this is the only open source project done like that. I really don't know of anyone else like this. Being a subscriber helps though in getting a response:-) Not everyone, does a Reply all. I know it's rare that I will. I figure if someone is so interested in the topic that they will subscribe; otherwise they are just sending a note in. Of course it's different if someone asks to be forwarded a message. > >> Forum mailing list >> [email protected] >> http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/forum > > Another idea i have seen around is to add all the xfree86 lists to the > footer, together with a quick explanation of what each list is for : > > [email protected] : general user level list > [email protected] : xfree developpment list (for xfree coding, not > using X) > [email protected] : discussion about the future of xfree86. > > Or something such. Roger Wilco:-) Will do. Been thinking that anyhow since we have a big write up for FORUM but not the others. I think it's a Good idea. Don't know about the footer. I currently don't have mail administrator privileges but I'll forward this to [email protected] as there are people there that do. Regards Georgina
