I can assure you that David Dawes and I are, in fact, to separate people, with sometimes RADICALLY different opinions :->. As to equating inactivity with disinterest, those are two different issues, also. While I may be inactive, to anyone following this forum, it should be clear that I am not disinterested. Whether I remain on the Core Team is something for the Core Team and I to decide. I agree that my inactivity probably disqualifies me, but I like to lurk, and while I may be inactive, it is still somewhat "my baby" and hard to let go of. If the Core Team feels I should leave, then I will; I'm not there to cause problems or incite issues... As to my being on the BOD and remaining on the BOD, many, if not most, corporations have outside directors, who are inactive but not disinterested, and I will remain on the BOD until I'm voted off, asked to resign, or the corporation ceases to exist. As for defending XFree86 and my friends, I'll be out doing that whether I'm on the Core Team, BOD, or none of the above... > > -- > Mike A.
