Noooooooooo. Emphatically no. I actively kick Red Hat specific changes
out of my packages for example, as fast as I possibly can. They are
there as stopgaps or workarounds. The only exception is cosmetic stuff
that's easily maintainable separately, such as our theme and default
configuration.

All Red Hat would get out of diversity in X implementations would be
a) more work for us and b) platform fragmentation. Both negatives.
Trying to make "we have the only working X, with proprietary API
enhancements" some kind of selling point would be a great way to shoot
a big hole in our foot.
