It seems some people are seeing proposed changes as giving over control of the direction of XFree86 to the 'general public'. But, in fact, I don't think anyone truly wants that. Control should be with the people who write the code. Please tell me if I'm way off base here, but I believe all proposals thus far have been attempts to allow more people to write code and *retain* control over what they wrote when it is incorporated into the project, rather than dish off control to the masses.
