I think you're being "creative" with your interpretation of what
I wrote :-)  But that's easy for me to clarify as I don't want to
suppress creativity :-).

I'm opposed to forcing different but related projects into the one
mold because I think that supresses individuality and creativity.

I'm not opposed to communication and effective dialogue between
related projects that have interdependencies.  Whether you achieve
that by creating some sort of formalised "umbrella", or whether
you just encourage people to get invovled in these related projects,
or whether you use some other mechanism, it just needs to be
workable, with the effectiveness of the dialogue being the only
useful metric.

I'm not discouraging others from pursuing their vision, in fact I'm
encouraging it, by discouraging them from feeling that they need
our or anyone else's blessing.
