Are there any papers you know of on this issue? In general, both client-server model and client-side-library model have pros and cons. For example, memory footprint vs CPU consumption; Client-server model can optimize memory footprint better, and client-library model can optimize CPU consumption better. STSF supports both client-server model and client-side-library model, and is configurable, so a user can choose whichever the configuration fit better with user's environment/needs. -- hiura@{freestandards.org,OpenI18N.org,li18nux.org,unicode.org,sun.com} Chair, OpenI18N/Open Internationalization Initiative, http://www.OpenI18N.org Architect/Sr. Staff Engineer, Sun Microsystems, Inc, USA eFAX: 509-693-8356
