Re: Announcement: Modification to the base XFree86(TM) license.

In the free software/open source, it was quite simple : BSD like to do what 
ever you want with the code and GPL to be garantie to have access to the code 
of an eventual fork.

The first BSD licence, with the advertising clauses was a problem for a 
pratical point of view. So there is a new version, GPL compatible since a 
long time ago. X11 licence was compared to the new BSD one.

Every thing was clear.

Now, it's seems that XFree86 people want to use a first BSD like licence and 
go back to problems of the past. Why ?

I imagine that each file have dozen of autors. How is it possible to change 
the licence now ? Does all the copyright are owned by the "XFree86 project" ?
