Hi; I am just an end user, but I just wanted to say I find the license change is consistent and absolutely acceptable. XFree86 still classifies as both "opensource" and "free" software, so there's no point in anyone (and mostly non-developers) complaining. If people really find the GPL-incompatibility an issue then perhaps the GPL should be modified to permit the harmless advertisement clause, but meanwhile, software authors should reflect about the code they are actually using and just simply add an exception clause as explained in the GNU FAQ. That's a subject for another list though. Thanks for the excellent code, and keep up the good work! Pedro F. Giffuni (XFree86 user since 1984)
