G'day David I'm writing to you on behalf of the Technology websites of The Age and the Sydney Morning Herald, two broadsheet newspapers published from the Australian cities of Melbourne and Sydney respectively. I understand from postings on various websites that some issues have been raised about the new licence for Xfree 86. As we have a large number of readers who are open source enthusiasts, I am putting together a little article on this and would appreciate some input from you about why this licence has caused some eyebrows at the Free Software Foundation to be raised. I would appreciate if you could be as non-technical as possible in your statements. Thanks, Sam ----------------------- (Sam Varghese) Online Technology Editor theage.com.au and smh.com.au 03 9601 2868 ********************************************************************************* The information contained in this e-mail message and any accompanying files is or may be confidential.
