Forks have little to do with licenses.  Using the GPL did not stop the
emacs/xemacs fork, nor did not using GPL cause the FreeBSD/NetBSD fork
or the long ago X Consortium/XFree86 fork.  In all those cases code has
freely flowed back and forth between the sibling projects.
