Could you be more specific?  I have now re-read the annoucement
several times, but I still do not know the answer to my question.  I
would not want to guess what you mean, lest I offend you by guessing

Note that I did not ask "why the change was made", because that phrase
is too easily misinterpreted.  I asked:

    Why was this license change deemed necessary?

I believe this is a valid paraphrase of the question which several
people have asked.

To clarify further, the intent of the question is also captured by:

    Why was this license change deemed necessary now?

    Why did you feel the need to change the license?

So, which language in the announcement (or anywhere else) do you think
addresses this question?

Oh, I certainly hope it's not personal!  I am just trying to learn the
answer to a Frequently Asked Question.
