Be careful how you judge it. There are problems from the Linux
side with DRI code, and one of them "The weird style" is down to the 
portability goal. I'm dubious about the way thats tackled, but hey its
their project.

The other stuff is generally the lack of small clean patches and the
fact that Linux fixes never make it back to DRI (which DRI, or the Xfree
tree is another part of that same mess). Thats at least partly our fault.
