Unlike a new feature where someone sends you a patch and you maybe apply 
it, Bugzilla/gnats/whatever requires dedicated resources and a 
commitment from XFree86 developers to use it.  It's simply absurd to 
suggest that anyone setup a colocated server somewhere running Bugzilla 
in the vain hope that you guys would choose to actually use it.  Trying 
to convince you bug-tracking software is good is the only strategy that 
makes sense.

I'm glad this list exists and much preferred the tone of your earlier 
message [This is great!] to the tone of this and some other ones.  What 
is the purpose of this list if not to find out what it is that people 
want in XFree86?  Certainly, you will ignore some of those wants, but 
there will be others you concede or even agree with: you've already 
responded to the request for regular tags in CVS.

I think it's natural for users/developers to feel passionately about 
XFree86.  It's the one and only mature GUI for the free OSes.  We can 
change our editor, our email client or even our OS - but XFree86 is 
irreplaceable for better or for worse.
