Hello! I was problem with keyboard + barcode scanner(USB) -- showkey -k kb mode was RAW [ if you are trying this under X, it might not work since the X server is also reading /dev/console ] press any key (program terminates after 10s of last keypress)... keycode 28 release keycode 56 press keycode 75 press keycode 75 release keycode 72 press keycode 72 release keycode 56 release -- In console(text, alt+F1 etc.): press left_alt+numkey(4)+numkey(8) in console: [root@ceg8801 tmp]#0 In xterm(X86): press left_alt+numkey(4)+numkey(8) [root@ceg8801 tmp]# My barcode scanner using this function!
