Re: XFree new feature : "remote" input

The program you want is called x2x, it allows you to move the mouse between 
two different X displays, just like they were a Xinerama linked display.  
Google will tell you all about it.  It doesn't allow you to move windows back 
and forth between the displays.  Supposedly the responsibility for that kind 
of behavior lies in the clients.  Personally I think the fact that the X 
protocol doesn't at least have a standard way of instructing clients to 
migrate themseves is a big disadvantage, and probably the reason that hardly 
any clients actually have this very useful capability (Note: if I'm wrong 
about that, please feel free to slap me upside the head).  Maybe a new 
migration extension is in order.  But first let's figure out how X 
development will continue.  This forum is currently discussing more pressing 
issues of X development and performance.
