this basically mirrors what i would have given in
response to david's question. given carl's work
on xr/xc, i've considered him a xfree86 developer.

without the ability to make resistance free - and
note that is _not_ the same as peer review free -
maintainance commits i no longer need to wonder
why xfree86 hasn't been doing nearly as well as 
it could have. i know understand completely.
