The issues you mentioned above would certainly be big issues for a 
loadable driver module if you are trying to do something like make an 
XFree86 module run in a non-fullscreen VT console mode. Ie: trying to 
make it so that you can have XGGI run on top of an existing X session 
etc.

However as I said before in my email, why is this really a desireable 
goal? What particularly useful feature can running XGGI on top of say 
X11, SVGALib or DirectFB provide? Seems to me that the best solution for 
a GGI driver module is to provide *native* hardware support when running 
in a fullscreen console.

Then again that would really only be useful if the native GGI hardware 
support was better (ie: more features or supporting more hardware) than 
the regular XFree86 drivers, but from looking at the latest status of GGI 
that does not appear to be the case.
