Considering the fact that our product is based on XFree86 and this is the *only* XFree86 user mailing list that I am aware of, how else are we supposed to recruit XFree86 beta testers to test our product? Obviously I won't be posting here again 'blatently advertising my product' to keep you happy. However bear in mind it is this kind of negative attitude from the XFree86 Core Team that makes commercial developers actively using and contributing to XFree86 think twice about doing so. Given all the discussions on the forum list about killing X.org and switching over to only a single maintained version of XFree86, this type of response is likely to cement in peoples minds the fact that X.org and XFree86 *should* remain separate, and maintain separate trees. AFAIK XFree86 has and always will be open to proprietry developers using and contributing to the code. If XFree86 has plans to act like a GPL project, we might as well take our technology elsewhere.
