I didn't think of "include" features, but rather, setting up
multilayout layouts via eg.

 $ setxkbmap -layout fr,gr -option "grp:shift_toggle"

what would put French layout inside group 1, Greek layout inside group
2, and when you press both shifts, you'd switch between groups. 

OTOH, if you put polytonic Greek inside "gr(polytonic)", you might do:

 $ setxkbmap -layout fr,gr -variant ",polytonic" -option "grp:shift_toggle"

to read it into group 2 instead of "gr(basic)".

This would read your layout files from 
 /etc/X11/xkb/symbols/pc/{f|g}r
files (as opposed to earlier /etc/X11/xkb/symbols/{f|g}r).

Well, this is the mailing list where Ivan Pascal frequently posts,
and he's probably in charge of Bugzilla XKB stuff, because he
maintains XKB itself, so it's pretty much the same as posting here,
except it won't get lost there (it's easy to miss a message on the
list).
