I've talked to many of these people privately who post to
[email protected] (as opposed to this list), to try to find out
where they got the address from.  So far every one of them got it
from the same XFree86.org page after searching in some search
engine, misunderstood the page, and posted here.

I don't have the URL handy but it is the status page which has at
the top of it the [email protected] address.  I think if it were
made more clear there what this address is for on that page, that
there would be less such requests from Windows users incoming on 
that.  Perhaps specifically flashing in red uppercase text "THIS 
IS NOT FOR MICROSOFT WINDOWS.  YOU CANT GET WINDOWS DRIVERS 
HERE."  That that might be clearer.

However, just ignoring and deleting does the job too.  ;o)
