xfree86 4.2.0 problem on intel 82845 G/GL graphics card

Hello,

I installed RH Linux 8.0 on intel P4 1.7 GHz with Intel chipset with Intel 82845 G/GL graphics controller and then the X Server could not start when I booted linux. It gave me a big  error msg which says, 

"................Release Date: 23 Jan 2002

If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is newer than the above date, look for a newer version

Built OS : Linux 2.4.18-11smp i686 [ELF]

Buit host : daffy.perf.redhat.com....."

 

Is there a newer version available?? 

Is XFree86 4.2.1 the answer to my prayers?? or is it XFree86 4.3???

Please help.

PS:-   I can run linux in text mode. It works fine here. Loads all services and all.
