Okay..I totally n00b'd on this problem. I had the default(?) xdm login screen,a greyish rectangle with Welcome to localhost and the XFree86 map logo. Now I have a big box that says X Window System, toally huge in the middle of the screen.(I had moved the logo'd one to the bottom) The only thing I did was remove some packages, most unrelated. The only package I removed with stuff in /usr/X11R6 was openmotif, but I have since put it back, with no change. I also changed my Xservers file add the -dpi 120 switch.

The only thing I see in the Xresources file which might be the holdup is the #if planes>=8 then it falls to the logos, but I cant see where Ive changed my planes. Please help!! Id like my logo screen back..so itll take my commands and go back to the bottom. I'll eve attach so you can see it:)
