Interesting: tried the mozilla-xft and runs nicely with the GUI AA'ed. Are freetype, xft, render statically linked in? It doesn't seem to use the installed libraries. BTW - the devel package seems to be missing a lot of nsI* type headers so you can't build galeon against this particular moz. (I think this has been reported in the galeon lists.)
