How to disable RENDER?

Hi,

If I have understand right, the RENDER extension in XFree 4.2.0 is
pre-allocating at least 216 colors in default colormap, even in 8
bit/PsuedoColor mode. We would like to allocate our own colors from index
2-255 (index 0 = black, index 1= white).
How to prevent XFree to pre-allocate the colors? How to disable the RENDER
extension in 8-bit mode?
