Getting X.org sources into a CVS...

Does anyone know if there is a way to import the X.org sources into a
CVS that we can see the changes made over the years ?

The ideal solution would be - if X.org uses CVS, too - to make a copy of
their X11R6.6 tree. Is that somehow possible ? If yes - who would be the
contact to get a copy of their tree ?

The fallback solution would be to grab each single tarball distribution
since X11R6 and add the diffs between the revisions to the CVS... or
does anyone see another, better solution for filling a CVS with the
X.org sources ?
