AFAIK is X.org != Xfree86
Xfree86 is only a vendor, X.org is the whole organisation.

I was already looking to get my patches working in the Xfree86 tree -
but their code differs a lot from the X.org tree and seems to have more
issues when you try to get a working Xprt from these sources (for
example the Xfree86 Xprt seems to reset to "early" when a job is
completed, always cutting the jobs at the end (my Xprt suffers from the
same bug - but only if I simulate >= ~30 _concurrently_ running
clients))). I am looking for a way to get it working on the Xfree86
sources - but AFAIK we will be a lot faster when we start with the X.org
X11R6.6 tree, fix the bug there (and pull some changes like the
PostScript and Truetype font engines over into our own tree) and then
port the fixes to the single vendor trees/branches
(Xfree86/Solaris/HP-UX/AIX/etc.) ...
