Yes, I was thinking about that, too - but I wanted to look behind the
scenes first.
One major thing is how bugzilla works (for example that you can get an
email for each single change of a bug, watch bugs via CC: or watch what
people are doing (usefull when people are on vacation) - it's bug state
model
(unconfirmed-->confirmed/new-->assigned-->resolved/fixed-->verified/fixed,
marking bugs as "duplicates" etc.), filing attachments for bugs etc.) -
I like that scheme very much... can the bugtracking system at
sourceforge do the same - or can they host a bugzilla installation ? And
what about "bonsai" (CVS blame as source code where the changes are
visualised via colors and popups), LXR and tinderbox (see "wishlist" in
my last posting) ?

And another major issue is vendor/toolkit-independece. If we would run
as "xprint.gnome.org" we will scare the Qt/KDE-people away and running
as "xprint.kde.org" may have a simmilar effect to other people. What
will happen if we choose "xprint.sourceforge.org" as domain name - that
sounds neutral for me... but how do the vendors think about this (I have
to ask around) ...

Next issue on my list is: How "stable" is sourceforce ? Can we do
offsite-backups easily (including the bug datatabse) ? Is there any way
to gurantee that sourceforge will exist the next two years (or longer) ?

And there is (finally) the issue of the license - I would choose the
X.org one unless someone else has a better suggestion (but what happens
when we "steal" the PostScript (which seems to be far more advanced than
the one from X.org) and TrueType font engines from Xfree86 - how does
that affect the licensing) ...

hosted on sourceforge ?
