I have been doing it for a while and
David Maciejak helped me at some point.

Things that directly affect the user interaction
with wmaker are at the top. For example:

df49061 wmaker: Add window snapping feature

is worthy of a bullet point. Other examples are

0d0169a WPrefs: add new mouse actions configuration
f40095a wmaker: add new button and wheel mouse actions
36b9f6c wmaker: add next and previous window focus functions
9937566 wmaker: Add new options for dragging maximized windows

etc. To have a better overview you can use

git log --oneline wmaker-0.95.6..wmaker-0.95.7

and hope that the "write a good summary for your patch" rule
has been properly enforced :-)

It's an exercise like summarizing the book you read
for the literature class, it's a bit subjective.
