You might want to add '--enable-silent-rules', although it will not solve any of your problem, just make the compilation more readable.

Could you please provide the answer for both commands:
  gcc --version
  fgrep -C1 deprecated wrlib/wraster.h

There are 2 things that would help understanding what's going on:
 - the file 'config.log'
 - fgrep libwraster.map wrlib/Makefile
