XKB layouts management gone?

Hey guys,

Just noticed that after some of the recent 
updates there are no longer separate XKB layouts 
remembered and shown for each of the windows. 
Also, I seemingly can't find the setting for 
activation of said indicator in the Prefs.app 
(it was drawn to the right of minimize button in 
titlebar, E for the 1st layout, faces and hearts 
for the other ones).

Was that a design decision? If so, how to pull 
the version which yet has those things working 
(dyslexic git-wise here)?
