Sounds like you come up with the windows list menu open - believe the 
default is a middle click on the root window to open it.

You could check that with a middle-click w/ your 1-mice desktop? See if 
it's the same popup menu..?

I suppose you checked the obvious..

Like.. what happens when you hit the escape key..? when you left-click 
or middle-click on that strange menu's title bar?

As to dockapps.. you could check if there are any wmaker messages as to 
why he's not loading them. Seems wmaker freezes before it initializes 
the dock or anything.

You could probably check your 2-mice setup w/ something less elaborate 
like this from vt2:

    $ startx /usr/bin/X11/xterm -- :1 -xf86config XF86Config-2mice

.. where XF86Config-2mice is your config file.. This'll bring up 'X' w/o 
a window manager.. just the X server and an xterm on display :1 .. see 
if you can type anything in the xterm.. select portions of it w/ 
click+drag or double/triple-click from either of your mice..?

obviously if this doesn't work wmaker is not likely the cause of problem..
