2 Problems - Enable GNOME & tiny windows

G'day there One and All,

I'm been using WM for some time now, and have version 0.91.0
installed on Ubuntu Warty (soon to be Hoary when I finish downloading
the .iso).

I've tried several times to install a pager dockapp, namely wmpager.
On earlier versions of WM and on other distros I found I couldn't do so,
and this time around I have the same problem. Previously I just gave up,
but this is annoying the crap out of me. It complies & installs without
problem but when run it tells me "couldn't determine current workspace.
Make sure your WindowMaker has Gnome support enabled!". Also, the Gnome
Desktop guide tells me "You are not running a GNOME compliant Window
Manager."

On reading the Docs, and Googling about the place, I find that I
need to enable GNOME when compiling. Fine, how do I do it? I've followed
the directions found with Google, and from reading the Docs, plus from
./configure --help. I've tried ./configure --enable-GNOME=yes,
./configure --enable-gnome=yes, ./configure --with-gnome,
./configure--with-GNOME, and every time I've then run make, make install
(as root) and then dropped back to XDM and started WM over again. Each
time I've tried to run wmpager, I've received the same error message.

Can someone please tell me how to enable GNOME?

The other problem I have is where WM is consistently opening apps
from the menu in windows that are too small for use. Right clicking on
the window title bar gives an Unmaximise option which when clicked (so
as to get "maximise " available) the window shrinks to a tiny thing in
the top left corner of my screen. The window becomes only as wide as the
window border and only as high as the top & lower borders. I know I can
set the windows to always open to full screen when started, but there
are times when I don't want a full screen window. I've not found
anything with google, but then again, "small" and "window" are pretty
general terms to search on.

Has any one noted this before? Is there a way to stop it happening?
I never had it happen in earler versions of WM, but I hesitate to blame
anything other than my current settings for the situation.

Hope to hear from someone soonish
See ya & thanks
