can't give any recommendations to klipper.. other than the existing X text buffers, which are there anyway. As for konsole replacement.. I used to use wterm which was natively linked against WINGs and had the NeXT scroll bar. That stopped building for me some time back (and looks abandoned as a project anyway).. then I tried aterm.. but at the moment I have switched to mlterm which has a NeXT look as part of its config options and also some great UTF-8 support and features. Do a google and you should find its homepage.
