Workspace and window cycling problem

Hi, all. I've been holding out, still using wmaker 0.80 because of a few
annoying changes (maybe bugs?) in 0.9x. I'd like to upgrade, so I'm
seeking a solution. I have Mod4- key combinations mapped to various
wmaker functions. In particular, Mod4-tab cycles windows and
Mod4-left/right cycles workspaces. In wmaker 0.9x, I'm seeing that after
I do Mod4-tab to switch between windows, I have to release Mod4 and
repress it to get workspace cycling to work. If I keep Mod4 down and
then push tab and then push left/right, the directional keys cycle
WINDOWS also. Has anybody encountered and maybe even fixed this?
