Dear Henrik:

Please send me your xorg.conf.

Can I ask which Nvidia card you have and which version of the Nvidia
driver. I'm running the Nvidia-1.0-7174 because that is the newest one
that correctly supports keyboard switch back and forth to the console.

Can I ask some specific questions?

I suppose we are following the same Nvidia manual using Twinview. I'll
be able to see for sure if you show me xorg.conf. On my system, when
the TwinView is running and I use this:

   Option "NoTwinViewXineramaInfo" "false"

THen I have mixed success.

1. If you have the cursor bring up the WindowMaker root menu on one
monitor and you open up many xterms repeatedly, do all xterms "pile up"
on each other on the same monitor? I never never see an application
open on the other monitor. All the xterms pile up on the one monitor.

However, I can drag them from one monitor to the next. That tells me
WindowMaker's xinerama support is working, but only partly.

2. In the Gnome Workspace Switcher, can you reposition programs by
dragging on their little symbols in the desktop pager? I can move a
program from one workspace to the other, but cannot reposition within a
single workspace.

3. Does the gnome panel stretch across both monitors? On mine, it does
not.

4. The user whose email is [email protected] says that wmsetbg is
not supposed to scale a background across 2 monitors when WindowMaker is
in xinerama mode. On my system, it does not. I get the same background
on both monitors. If I tile a small background, it is tiled separately
across the 2 monitors. So the fact that you are seeing one background
across 2 monitors makes me think there is some mystery. Did you patch
wmsetbg?

If I set

   Option "NoTwinViewXineramaInfo" "true"

Then I do get one background across 2 workspaces, however, I have big
window placement problems. THey don't pile up on top of each other, but
they do get split across the 2 monitors.
