I'm running Ubuntu Breezy Badger v 5.10 with Windowmaker 0.92 and Open
Office 1.9.129, which may or may not be Open Office 2.0. But I've
still got the problem with the slide show not properly taking over the
full screen. Mind you, all I've done is just load on the Windowmaker
verision which comes from Ubuntu instead of pulling down source and
compiling like I had to do with Fedora.

That being said, what did anyone do outside of a plain vanilla compile
and install that got this feature to work properly? Is this a
Windowmaker issue? Or is it an issue of what libraries are associated
with a given Linux distribution? I'd think it would have something to
do with the call to xsetroot, or whatever call it is that takes over the
full screen, which is not an Open Office issue.

From what I've seen of the discussion on this so far, nothing has been
said beyond it works with Debian Sarge 3.1 and Fedora Core 4. What's
the underlying reason for it working or not?
