kpager & kmail dock icon loses settings

I am running the stock Suse 9.3 windowmkaer 0.91.0, kpager and kmail. When
I log out and log back in, or restart WindowMaker, the kmail dock icon
loses its icon (goes to default.tiff), kmail loses it attributes (icon and
desktop start) and kpager loses its specific attributes even after save
session (while windowmaker is running, and as choice at exit).

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Any and all help appreciated.
