How to REALLY auto-arrange icons?

Hi to all,

I'm a WM (0.91) enthousiast user,
but I'm in trouble with icons' auto-arrange...

The well-known built-in function:
*
AutoArrangeIcons*=YES

don't work the way I need.

It visually order the icons, but they change their position
after the first click I do on them... so every time i want
to open a minimized window I have to search it two times,
and only the second i can double-click it.

The manual (menu/shortcut) command works fine,
and put icons in their "final" position, so icons don't slip away
when i click them...
but i have to call the command every time...

Someone can help me?
There is a script that i can use to do this job every X seconds?
