   There are two possible modules for this, wmsound and wsoundserver.  I
believe the latter is more recently updated.  Both use the same package
for the sound itself, wmsound-data.  Both of them, however, are listed
as not working at all on amd64 in the Gentoo portage tree.

   I'm running a few tests; wsoundserver set off a sandbox violation
when it tried to install, but wmsound at least played the 'I am a
penguin' startup sound.

   I use wmix on Gentoo amd64 with no problems.  It may not be listed as
stable, but I suspect that's just because nobody has reported it that
way.  Which, obviously, I also have not done, now that I think about it.
However, it works just fine for me.
