Backpacking Background: I started backpacking as soon as I was old enough to drive and go out on my own. Product description. This Bag is awesome, its lightweight (especially compared to the behemoth that was my last bag) and it is super comfortable. The nylon stretches and gives you enough space to move around so that you don’t feel like your sleeping in a casket. And there has not been a night yet where I have been cold or uncomfortable sleeping. It looks good, travels well, and keeps me warm what else could you want.

I got this bag 3 months ago with the intention of it being used mainly for my Appalachian Trail hike over the summer. However the only times I have used it so far have not been under those nice summer conditions I expected. I live in the mountains of central Va, so fall temperatures here range from 60f (15c) to 20f (-6.5c) so I believe that testing warmth in my back yard can still give you an accurate estimate to how well it will hold up anywhere else. At first I was skeptical of this bag keeping me warm the night I stayed out side however when I woke up the ground outside my tarp was frozen and I was not (In fact it had gotten so cold my Girlfriend who camped out with me had left in the middle of the night to go inside and left me to sleep soundly in my nice down bag). Needless to say When I checked the temperatures in the morning I was extremely happy with how my bag held up.

Although it was much warmer on this trip the wind definitely made up for it. However my bag did a great job at keeping the wind chill out and keeping me felling warm, actually at one point I had to take my pants of because I was getting to warm.
Summary- If you’re on the prowl for a nice UL 3 season sleeping bag I would highly recommend one like this. My favorite part of the trip is waking up feeling warm and refreshed and packing my bag up to the size of a grapefruit putting it in my pack and moving on. It is worth noting however that there were times at night where my feet started to get a bit nippy, but a quick fix to that is to put on socks.
