Hi Brian!
I’ll be your editor for this report. Thank you for submitting it.
Your edits will be in the following format of…
EDIT – must change
edit – my recommended change if you agree
comment – is just that
edit – you have some good and clear photos – might I suggest a few things regarding them –
that you crop some as there is a lot of blank space in some of them, eating up your report and thereby affecting your text. If you space the images out throughout your report where you can highlight them in your text, it’ll look much smoother. I would adjust the order and put either the second photo showing the product in its packaging or the photo of the flashlight by itself and larger than the others at the top so readers can immediately recognize the product by its photo. I would also put the image showing the tail cap in the area where you talk about that specifically. Additionally, I would move the informational photo image down in the body somewhere. I understand you probably wanted it in the area of Product Information, but with that being the first photo, it makes your report look a little clunky to me.
“Manufacturer's Website: www.maglite.com”
EDIT – This link wasn’t working from the BGT test report page.
“Listed Weight With Batteries: 3.68 oz. (104 g)”
EDIT - Please remove the period after “oz”
“Length: 4.8 in. (121.9 mm)”
EDIT – Please remove the period after “in”
“Barrel Diameter: 1.0" (25.4 mm)”
EDIT – To remain consistent throughout your report, replace the (“) for inches and replace it with (in) like you did above so it reads, “Barrel Diameter: 1.0 in (25.4 mm)”
“Beam Distance: 224 Meters”
EDIT – Please add the standard conversion
“Drop Resistance: 1 m”
EDIT – Please add the standard conversion
“Battery Type: 3 - AAA Cell Alkaline”
edit – The product image seems to show included batteries, but adding a comment that the batteries were or were not included is quite helpful
“At 4.8" long (121.9 mm) and 1.0" (25.4 mm) in diameter, it easily fits in my pants pocket or in a small belt holster.”
EDIT – again, please pick one style or the other when identifying the standard conversion for inches so you remain consistent throughout. Here you’re using the quotes (4.8“ and 1.0”) where above you also used (in).
“One Click: One click activates high power for the full 200 lumens.
Two Clicks: Two clicks…
Three Clicks: Three clicks…”
edit – [One Click: One click] is needlessly repetitive. Might I suggest - “One Click: Activates high power for the full 200 lumens.” And repeat for the other two.
“In that capacity, it has traveled with me across the country and has seen temperatures from 100F (38 C) to -10 F (-23 C).”
EDIT – 100 F (please add the space after 100)
OK, so that’s what I found. Go ahead and upload when you’re ready. Please send me an email when you upload it and I’ll have another look in case I missed something. Remember to delete the test report and thanks for your OR.
See you next time
Mike
